All of the men and women who courageously served our country deserve the finest care available – the kind that requires a substantial and sustained level of funding for medical research.
The Veterans Medical Research Foundation exists to pursue all non-VA forms of funding, both government and private, in order to ensure that the veterans of yesterday, today and tomorrow have the breadth and level of medical research that they deserve.
San Diego is home to military veterans of all generations, including the largest number of veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan in the country. Many are returning home with complex health issues related to their service.
"As a combat veteran and a retired Marine, I dedicated my post-military life to the support of veterans-related organizations that provide support to that community. The Veterans Medical Research Foundation is one of the most unique not for profit organizations because it provides the space and the talent to conduct long-term research for treatment of combat-related injuries and diseases for veterans of all generations.
I've experienced combat. I've seen death in a very violent form on a recurring basis. I've participated in military training and operations in countries all over the world. I know how dedicated and devoted these warriors are, and I know of the sacrifices to family and home that they made. To me, support of the Veterans Medical Research Foundation is the best investment in time and money that exists.
The Veterans Medical Research Foundation is unique. It is focused on conducting research to develop medical solutions for injuries and illnesses incurred by American warriors who risk their lives to protect this country.
